Thanksgiving Day in America - presentation by Bob Cranage

On November 16, 2007, Bob Cranage from New Hampshire delivered the lecture about Thanksgiving Day in America. Bob Cranage is retired secondary school educator and has been working as the liaison with 40 international students who work (J-1 Visa program) for amusement park in Glen, NH. He has held this full time position which includes other duties for 7 years. As a result of this position and some Alumni relations, he had traveled to Russia and Romania fairly extensively. While in Russia Bob had contact with The American Corner in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2003-2004. During his month stay there he provided gratis tutoring for both the AC directress and the Mayakovski library's librarians in English. He also provided support for both the Thanksgiving, New Years/Christmas and ML King Holiday programs at the AC.

Young audience found the lecture very interesting opportunity to practice their English with native speaker and gets more information about history of United States.
