The Jedi Knights have been almost all exterminated and the Empire rules the galaxy with an iron fist. A small group of Rebels have dared to fight back. During one of their struggles they obtained secret plans of the Empires mightiest weapon, the DEATH STAR battle station. The Emperor most trusted servant, Darth Vader, must find the plans and locate the hidden Rebel base....
Princess Leia, a captive Rebel leader, sends out a distress signal that is intercepted by a simple boy... Luke Skywalker.
Luke takes up the challenge to rescue the princess and help the Rebellion overthrow the Empire, along with such unforgettable allies as the wise Obi-Wan Kenobi, the cocky Han Solo (Harrison Ford), the loyal Chewbacca and droids R2-D2 and C-3PO.
W cyklu AMERICAN CORNER, ZAPRASZA...
W poniedziałek 4 czerwca o godz 16.00 w związku z obchodami 30-lecia powstania filmu Gwiezdne Wojny w American Corner, odbył się pokaz IV epizodu sagi Georga Lucasa pt. Nowa Nadzieja. Wielbiciele filmu obejrzeli go w wersji oryginalnej na dużym ekranie. Pokazowi towarzyszyła wystawa gadżetów filmowych, którą zachwycona była, w większości, męska cześć widowni i czytelników  .
