Postcards Exhibition at American Corner Wrocław

From 6th of August 2007 we would like to invite all readers to our very special exhibition from privet collection of Mr. Stanisław Chmura.
The exhibit consists of more then 100 colorful postcards which present the incredible beauty of the America's natural parks, cities and landscapes. This is just a piece of postcard collection belonging to our reader Mr. Stanisław Chmura.
Mr. Chmura started his adventures with postcards many years ago, at boarding school. During those days not many people had a camera so only one think he could bring from holidays was a postcard. By the years he received more postcards from friends and his collection grown.
He even didn't notices when he became a serious postcard collector. Now his collection contains more than 50 thousands postcards all in boxes waiting for next revelation. The author of the exhibition is a member of the Labor Association of Art Creator - the Gallery of Word and Picture.
Many of his postcards were presented at the exhibitions in galleries, museum art centers in cities like Wrocław, Łódź, Międzywodzie, Polańczyk, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Środa Śląska, Trzebnica, Holland or Romania. One of His artistic activity earned him the award of a Meritorious Person Engaged in Cultural Life.
