Human Rights Workshops
When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men - yes, black men as well as white men - would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

On the occasion of Human Rights Day celebrations, American Information and Cultural Center, in cooperation with UNESCO Information Centre at University of Wroc?aw, at the beginning of December, organized two workshops to high school students. Magdalena Hoszowska, UNESCO volunteer and Tamir Soliman, visiting student at Centrum Studiów Niemieckich i Europejskich of the name Willy Brandt in Wroc?aw provided both workshops. Participants had an opportunity to watch movies, attend non-formal education activities and play games concerning different human rights issues. They received a kit with The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and discuss it together. Young people were willing to speak out and get involved in voluntary actions in the close future. At the and of the meeting they familiarized with the most popular websites of organizations connected with human rights education and actions in Poland and in the United States as well.
