Amish in America

On 8th of October, Szymon Góranowski from Wrocław Uniwersity gave a presentation about Amish in America. Amish are the protestant fellowship living in the north-western states. They are best known for their plain dress and simple lifestyle - this is because of their resistance to adopt to modern lifestyle including any convenient inventions of twentieth century like telephone, radio or even steam engine. The Amish remain probably the most uncomformistic religous group in the USA.
