The American Corner,
opened in June 2006, at the Dolnośląska Public Library
provides information about the United States to the general
public. It also provides a venue for speakers, events for alumni
of exchange programs and meetings with American Studies and
English language teachers.
It is the second American Corner that was opened in Poland after
the American Corner in Łódz that was opened in 2004. More American
Corners are expected to open throughout Poland in the coming
years.
The American Corner in Wrocław is operated in partnership
between the U.S. Mission to Poland and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
