| Every third Monday on February Americans
celebrate the Presidents’ Day, honoring all past presidents of
the United States of America. At the beginning invited quests
watched the film “The Election process in America” which shows
the right to vote as our single, most important right. Many
think that their vote doesn’t count, but the video points out
why we should take the franchise very seriously. In the meantime
there was a live discussion and students were answering
questions actively. They also got to know new words like ballot,
suffrage, etc. After a short break they were looking for
information about their favorite presidents using the American
Corner resources. Additionally, each participant got the latest
ZOOM and some basic notes connected with our meeting.
