On
May 14, 2008 American Corner was pleased to host Ms Minna
Zielonka-Packer, a filmmaker and artist from New York City.
During this meeting American Corner friends had an opportunity
to watch her documentary film "Back
to Gombin". The film tells the story about descendants of
Gombins's Jewish community and their visit to the land of
ancestors. "Back to Gombin" has been selected by numerous film
festivals and has been broadcast internationally. Ms Minna
Zielonka-Packer presented also a set of photos which introduced
us to her new project entitled "The
Lilliput", the movie inspired by the story of Abraham Kerber,
a Jewish dwarf from Gombin.
