On 20th of May Mr. Marek Karewicz, a world famous photographer of jazz and rock artists was guest of American Corner.

Mr. Karewicz opened the exhibition of his pictures called Jazz Ambassadors. Exhibition includes pictures of greatest jazz artist like Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman giving concerts in Poland beetween years 1950-1970. It was the first contact for Polish audience with the live American music.

The jazz musicians were representing the western culture behind the Iron Curtain, hence the name of the exhibition 'Jazz Ambassadors'. During the meeting Mr. Karewicz was talking about his work and life. There was also a chance to get the autograph from Mr. Karewicz.

At the end of the meeting there was presentation of the movie about Mr. Karewicz called " The man with the golden lens" directed by Paweł Radziewski.
